Visitation at Marion Health
The goal of visitation is to ensure patients are provided quality care, both emotionally and physically, in a safe, healing environment as well as offering patients and caregivers uninterrupted time to consult with nurses and physicians regarding their care.
- Visitors under the age of 14 are discouraged.
- Most units allow two visitors at a time at the discretion of the nurse and primary care provider.
- Due to the nature of certain hospital units, additional visitation restrictions may apply.
- General visiting hours: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please refer to the department
- specific guidelines. Please respect the requests of the patient and medical staff.
- All hospital entrances are locked down between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. except for the Emergency entrance. After 8:00 p.m., visitors need to leave through the Emergency Department entrance.
