Marion Health Welcomes Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Marion, Ind. (May 23, 2022) – This month, Lani Stearns, MSN, NP-C, OCN, joined Marion Health’s medical team in her new role as an oncology-certified Nurse Practitioner.

Stearns earned her Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cancer Services of Grant County.

Stearns began her career with Marion Health in 2013. She brings 18 years of quality experience working in Oncology. Stearns pioneered the Nurse Navigator program at Marion Health in 2018, which provides personalized guidance throughout a patient’s cancer journey.

Stearns said, “I love the relationships that we are able to build with our patients. Our patients become like family, and I find it an honor to be a part of their lives and help them through their journeys with cancer. I am excited to continue my career as a nurse practitioner in Oncology.”
