Blood donation saves lives.
Blood donation saves lives.
Make a big difference in the lives of others simply by donating blood. According to the American Red Cross:
- Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.
- One blood donation can potentially save up to three lives.
- Less than 38 percent of the population is eligible to give blood or platelets.
Each person is born with a specific blood type which means you can’t give or receive blood from just anyone. Blood is a vital part of the life-saving care required for some trauma, cancer, and burn patients. Those with chronic medical conditions can also benefit from blood products such as red cells, platelets and plasma. As a donor, your generous gift supports the constant need for a healthy and reliable blood supply in the community.
Join Marion Health for a blood drive on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Marion Health is hosting a blood drive on Saturday, September 12 from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Marion Health Express Urgent Care, 1130 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
