MGH Newborns Receive Quilts from Marie Webster Quilt Guild
Each year, the Marie Webster Quilt Guild celebrates National Quilting Day by presenting quilts to the first baby boy and baby girl born on or immediately after this day at Marion Health, which was March 16th.
The boy’s quilt was stitched by Jocelyn Smith, a beautiful green Minkee and cotton fabric comforter. The machine embroidered Sunbonnet Sue quilt for the baby girl was stitched by Joyce Hostetler. The quilts were presented by Hostetler. Both women are members of the Marie Webster Quilt Guild which operates under the umbrella of the Quilters Hall of Fame.
Savaria Bolden and her son, Amauzion, received the handsome boy’s quilt, and Tuesday Heral, James Darnell, and their daughter, Hazley, received the beautiful girl’s quilt. Both families were very appreciative of the generosity shown by the Marie Webster Quilt Guild.
