Marion General Hospital Recognized for Excellence in Advertising
Honored for excellence in advertising, Marion Health and ad agency partner, Designs Group, LLC (Marion, IN), have received several marketing awards from two different competitions, Healthcare Marketing Report’s healthcare advertising awards and The Aster Awards.
In the Healthcare Advertising Awards, Marion Health won gold for its Hospital Renovations / Public Relations Program and merit for Most Wired/ Total advertising without TV.
The competition, of which there were nearly 4,000 entries, allows healthcare facilities to test their “programs and campaigns against the best in the country.” A list of the winners can be found at healthcare-advertising-awards.com.
The Aster Awards, one of the largest national competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today magazine and Creative Images, Inc. This elite program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts.
Two Gold Awards were received, one for the Marion Health Hospital Renovations internal advertising campaign and the other for Their Past, Present & Future newspaper advertising – special tabloid, ranking in the top 5% nationally for healthcare advertising design and expertise, out of approximately 3,000 entries from across the U.S. and several other countries.
Entries competed against those from similar-sized organizations in each category. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
“It’s an extreme compliment for our team to be recognized by our industry and peers for a national award,” states Ann Vermilion, administrative director of medical staff services and community outreach. “Winning this award validates we produce advertising of national quality on a local level.”
Winning entries, judged by a diverse panel of experts, are posted on the Aster Awards website (www.AsterAwards.com) and published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
