Marion General Hospital Awarded HFAP Accreditation
Marion Health has been awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Marion Health earned the HFAP Seal of Excellence distinction after the organization conducted an extensive and objective review of the hospital’s overall and departmental quality and safety standards.
“Marion Health clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Stephen Martin, Jr., Ph.D., M.P.H., CEO of HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, as well as recognized national standards for patient safety, quality improvement, and environmental safety. Marion General Hospital met or exceeded the standards in every case.”
“We’re honored to achieve this prestigious distinction again,” said Paul L. Usher, Marion Health President/CEO. “By awarding us accreditation, HFAP has recognized our commitment to providing outstanding care to our Healthcare Community.”
