Ndow Achieves Professional Certification
Emmanuel J. Ndow (pronounced N-dowe), Chief Information Officer at Marion Health, has achieved professional certification from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
A Certified Healthcare CIO (CHICIO) represents achievement of the highest standard of professional development for healthcare CIOs. Launched by CHIME in July 2009, the certification program is the only credentialing program that distinguishes healthcare IT executives from others in the industry.
To become certified, Ndow, a resident of Marion, had to pass a rigorous 125-question examination and possess specific professional qualifications, including 25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and at least three years of experience as a CIO or equivalent.
“I am pleased to have received the CHCIO certification as a testament to my continued education and understanding of healthcare IT, and my commitment to improving and advancing the role of technology at Marion Health for the benefit of our Healthcare Community,” Ndow says.
The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) is an executive organization dedicated to serving chief information officers and other senior healthcare IT leaders to enable them to exchange best practices; address professional development needs; and advocate the effective use of information management to improve the health and healthcare in the communities they serve.
