New Access to Family Birthing Center (Labor and Delivery)

Patient safety is of paramount importance at Marion Health. We constantly evolve and change to help ensure our patients remain safe and protected while at Marion Health.

Nowhere is that more evident than at our Family Birthing Center (FBC). Mothers and newborn infants deserve and rightfully expect the highest level of safety and security we can provide.

For the safety and welfare of our mothers and newborn infants, Marion Health will be limiting access to FBC to only one entrance. Beginning Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, the east entrance doors to FBC (4th floor near orange elevators) will be locked at all times.

On that date, visitors will be asked to please use the green elevators (located on the southwest corner of the first floor) as the only access to visit FBC.

We appreciate your compliance and hope you understand the sincerity of our motivation to make the change. Our mothers and newborn infants are well worth the effort.
