New Cardiologist Welcomed to Medical Staff

Marion Health is pleased to welcome Christopher D. Powers, M.D., F.A.C.C., and his 23 years of experience, to its medical staff.

Dr. Powers received his M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, Illinois. His residency in internal medicine was completed at the same location.

He served as Chief Resident at Scripps Clinic, La Jolla, CA, before receiving his Cardiology Fellowship from the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. His undergraduate degree was earned at the prestigious University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

Dr. Powers is board certified in cardiology and internal medicine. He has joined the talented physicians and staff at The Care Group Marion - a member of St. Vincent Medical Group.
