New Director is Familiar Face

Marion Health is pleased to welcome Karen Jones, SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) to its leadership team. Jones began her new role as Administrative Director of Human Resources in late June, but she is a familiar face to Marion Health. She worked as the MGH Employee Benefits Manager for three years before leaving the position in 2001 to serve as the Human Resources Director at Muncie Community Schools.

“It was always in the back of my mind to one day return to Marion Health”, states Jones. “I loved the healthcare field and MGH was such a great place to work, but I needed to gain more leadership experience first.” Already knowing most of her staff made the return to MGH easier. “They have been very welcoming and it is truly appreciated,” she furthers.

In regards to the changes which have taken place at Marion Health since 2001, Jones has this to say, “I observed from afar the positive changes made in regards to MGH facilities, services, leadership, and culture. It made me want to return to MGH even more.”

Jones received her bachelor’s and Masters in Education from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. She and her husband of 17 years, Pat, and son, Ryan, live in Muncie.
