Megan Kern Awarded CCRN Certification
Megan L. Kern, RN, BSN, critical care, has earned CCRN® certification from the AACN Certification Corporation, the certification organization for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
First introduced in 1976, CCRN certification is one of the most advanced professional credentials that can be achieved by a nurse in the field of critical care. As a result, the CCRN designation is highly regarded as recognition of advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in the care of acutely and critically ill patients and their families.
Most importantly, the CCRN credential signals these individuals have been acknowledged by their peers as being among the very best in the critical care nursing profession.
A CCRN certified practitioner is a healthcare professional who has made a choice to advance their knowledge in critical care nursing practices. This is demonstrated by their commitment to study for and pass the certification examination to become certified. This knowledge base is a voluntary personal desire from the individual to deliver the highest quality of critical care available in the United States.
Kern has worked at Marion Health for 11 years. The six-year R.N. worked as a student nurse in critical care while attending school for her nursing degree. Kern and her husband, Eric, have two children, Taylor and recent newborn, Carson. They reside in Gas City, IN.
