Himelick Selected for Leadership Role

Marion Health is pleased to announce Kimberly Himelick, MBA, R.N., has been selected for a leadership role at Marion General Hospital. On Jan. 1, 2010, she will become the new Administrative Director of Critical Care.

Himelick has worked at Marion Health for 21 years. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Vincennes University and obtained her BSM and MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

"I am honored to lead such a great group of professionals," states Himelick. "I will have big shoes to fill when replacing Sharon Atkinson, but she has taught me so much this past year and has been a great role model and mentor; I hope to make her and Marion Health very proud."

Himelick will also continue to oversee the Magnet® Certification Program. She and her teenage son, Tyler, are life-long residents of Marion.
