CIO Recognized as Certified Professional
Emmanuel J. Ndow, chief information officer at Marion Health, has earned the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
Founded in 1961, HIMSS represents more than 20,000 individual members exclusively focused on providing optimal use of healthcare information technology (IT) and management systems for the betterment of human healthcare. The CPHIMS is a national credential which provides formal recognition of knowledge and competency in healthcare information and management systems.
To earn the CPHIMS, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, and pass the rigorous CPHIMS examination. Ndow’s career in information technology spans 14 years, with three of those years served at Marion Health.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wabash College and his master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. Ndow is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), and the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
